Playing and captaining teams has shaped how I approach teamwork, leadership, and creative strategy, teaching me to balance collaboration with initiative and to create strategies that bring people together.
Leading and training the team has been one of my most rewarding experiences. Before I joined, there was no regular practice and little sense of cohesion among teammates. I took the initiative to organize weekly Saturday morning training sessions—rain or shine—which built both discipline and team spirit.
The results quickly showed: in our very first intramural season, we reached the Round of 16. Later, we traveled to Chicago to compete in the Chinese Students’ Midwest Tournament, where we advanced into the playoffs. These moments not only strengthened the team but also shaped my own approach to leadership and strategy.
